At Cancún Taxis Service we care about your vacation, we want to make shure you have a memorable experience when you visit us.
We have compiled a set of frequently asked questions that our valuable clients like you usually have for us.
1.- Why should I hire a private transportation service?
You are coming to a foreign country and for your safety you need to know who is handling your transportation service in case of an unforeseen issue. If you hire a public transportation service you will never know the real name of the driver and if the hired service is provided by a legal company or by the ones commonly called pirates, often not insured or using old vehicles.
With us everything is stored in a master database where we record the vehicle number, plates, driver's name, time departing the airport, drop off time at the hotel, etc. Remember is always better to pre-arrange your ground local transportation when you travel aboard.
2.- Are your rates the same than the regular fees at the airport ticket center?
No, our rates are lower, this is because we work on pre-booked reservations basis only and we don't have to pay expensive parking fees and fixed location rent, this allow us to offer better prices and superior quality services than the regular transportation vehicles at the airport.
3.- Do you have a Lost & Found department?
Yes, after each service every vehicle is carefully revised and if there was any article forgotten on board it is reported immediately to the operation's manager. If you forget something inside the vehicle we can send it to you via Fedex or DHL, you'd have to pay the expenses of the parcel delivery service.
4.- Is it safe to travel with you?
Absolutely, before we hire any member of our staff they need to pass several tests and present sufficient personal information about them, we request federal driver's license which is not easy to get, no criminal records certificate issued by the police, anti-doping tests and three referral letters issued by local companies. All of our vehicles are fully insured and our drivers are bonded.
5.- How do I make a reservation ?
In our Transfers section, select number of passengers and your destination hotel, our online system will guide you to complete your reservation, make your online payment and get your confirmation number, in just a few steps.
6.- Are you licensed to operate this service at the airport?
Yes we do have license to operate in the two airport terminals and have federal plates to transport passengers in all of Mexico's roads.Our companies are bonded and all of our vehicles count with effective insurance policies, applicable permits and licenses.
7.- Can I choose the type of vehicle for my service?
No, we assign the vehicles depending on availability, all of our cars are late model, you can be assigned from a standard car to a De Luxe vehicle. To secure a specific car type you need to request a quotation first.
8.- While in Cancun or the Mayan Riviera do I need to call you to reconfirm my return service to the airport?
If you have confirmed a round trip service it is not necessary to do that since we have an electronic scheduler that reminds us your service until it has been completed, when make a reservation we issue an electronic voucher online with your service information, that information is the same that the operation's manager have.
However if you feel more comfortable, contact us by phone to double check your return service.
9- We are travelling to Cancun within the next 6 months, Can I make a reservation now?
Yes, we can take your reservation, no matter if you will come over within the next 6 months or next year. We take reservations up to 24 months in advance.
10.- Do your drivers speak English?
80% of our drivers speaks good English level and the rest has basic level only but they will understand what you want if you speak to them slowly. The reservation staff and the operation's manager speaks english fluently so in case you have any problem in Cancun just contact us and we will take care of the issue.
11.- Can you transport handicapped people?
Yes we can do that, we have a wheel chair ramp available upon request, we also can remove some seats from our vehicles to allow that special people to travel more comfortable.
12.- What if I have a reservation confirmed and my flight is delayed?
We always check with the airline 3 hours in advance if your flight is on time. if not, we will know exactly at what time it is going to arrive and we will wait for you. If your flight is cancelled for any reason or you didn't catch the plane please go to any internet machine existing at most airports and email us to inform of your new arrival information either to cancel your reservation.
